First Impressions On Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro

First Impressions On Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro

I've always loved the look of matte lips, but actually wearing a matte lip can be daunting.  As you can guess, mattes are hella drying and finding the right formula can be a chore.  I had the opportunity to try the cult classic Giorgio Armani Beauty Lip Maestro velvety matte liquid lipstick!

As formulas continue to advance, it's evident Giorgio Armani Beauty put in a lot of time, money, and effort to offer a plush, pillow soft matte that sits comfortably on the lip and that stays color true and is long lasting.  Outside of my favorite MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick, the Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro is a great optional product.

I got the shade in Pearly Nude #508.  It's a dirty medium pink with a soft gold pearl shimmer running through it.  On my lip tone, it reads as a soft pink grapefruit with more of the gold pushing through the color.  At first wear, I wasn't so sure about it.  I used a slightly deep brown liner with it, but wore it without a lip liner one day and I liked the results better.  I applied two thin coats of the color just blotting a bit off with a tissue for the desired intensity in color.  The more I wear the liquid matte, the more I like it and will more than likely add more shades to my collection.

As far as the wear and tear of the formula, it stayed on through drinking coffee and bottles of water.  There was minimal wear down of the product and it seemed to last at least until four hours -- at least the color I have.  Because it's such a light color, it's hard to say.  I would have to test a richer color to see if it would last the full eight hours as promised.  Overall, I can say that I like this lippie and look forward to trying another shade.
