Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Got Five Star Ratings

If you’re a fanatic about skin care, you know that proper sleep is hella important and key to healthy skin, right?  You also know that the skin does most of it’s work at night when we are trying to catch those wondrous “z’s!”  So having a product on hand that promises to deliver the results you seek is worth trying out.

When I stepped into the Saks Fifth Avenue over the weekend during their “Beauty Week,” I owed it to myself to stop in the beauty department and see what gifts Saks were offering for spending $125.  As I looked around, I knew I didn’t want to purchase anymore makeup (at least for the time being), so naturally I looked for skin care items that would pique my interest.

I’ve been on this huge face oil/face serum kick and I’ve been using the Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil with great success.  But I wanted to see what else was out there.  Walking through the Saks beauty department, I spotted the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate.  I’ve seen this product over the years and I decided to jump in and try it.

The Kiehl’s rep explained to me that the Midnight Recovery Concentrate is one of their most popular products.  And she also explained that I should also look at the sister product to this oil that I can use in the day time called, Daily Reviving Concentrate.  I skipped that product (for now) because I wanted to try the Midnight Recovery Concentrate first.

THE VERDICT

This is a keeper!  I’ve used this for almost a whole week and I could see a difference with my skin.  It looked smoother and clearer, but I have to admit did not use it alone.  I applied my The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% serum first and layered the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate over it every evening.  Whether it’s right or wrong, all I know is that my skin is looking pretty good right now and I’m loving it.

One of the main things I absolutely love about this product is that the oil is somewhat of a dry oil and it absorbs quickly and it’s not greasy like other oils I’ve tried.  It only take a good three drops for me to get the job done.  Anything over that is too much.  And as much as I love the Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra Clarifying Facial Oil, I find that the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a little less greasy.

With the Lavender essential oil coming through, it’s a smooth scent that calms the senses.  It’s not a loud or offensive scent in the way some skin care products can be and the scent dissipates after a few minutes.

If you’re on the fence about this product, don’t be.  It’s a good product to have in rotation.
