If you are into beauty trends, going behind the scenes at fashion shows gives you a glimpse into what could possibly be a trend to come or a trend that's already in motion, but picked up by designers and interpreted into editorial looks.  While most beauty trends on the runway are too outlandish to wear in real life, there is nothing wrong with taking something that attracts your attention and making it all your own.

BURGUNDY

Burgundy for the eyes can lend a romantic vibe to your look.  Against darker skin, these colors are extra gorgeous!  And designers thought so too and that's why they sent many of the models down the runway in these feminine tones.  Just like the lips, if you're doing burgundy there, keep the eyes clean.  If you're doing burgundy on the eyes, keep the lips in a nude matte tone or clean with a clear gloss.  Some beautiful burgundy shadows NYX Lid Lingerie in Evening Spell, MAC Burgundy Times Nine Eye Shadow Palette, Nars Dual Intensity Eye Shadow in Desdemona.

POWDER BLUE

Usually reserved for spring, powder blue is quite a departure from the usual jewel tones for eyes for fall.  It's kinda refreshing to see something completely different.  Because we equate deeper colors with cooler weather, having a shade of powder blue is mood lifting.  Of course, you can do your own interpretation of this look, but to make it fashionable, keep the face simple and wear a light blue shade on your eyes as an accessory.  Powder blue shadows with a hint of shimmer look best, especially on darker skin tones.  Try Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Peace, NYX Prismatic Eye Shadow in Blue Jeans or Savage.

GLOSSY LIDS

Glossy eye lids were the rage for spring/summer and this trend will be just as hot for fall.  The key to this look is to keep the rest of the skin in a semi-matte texture and keep the lips in a soft matte finish aw well for a cool girl look.  The trick to pulling this off is to find a gloss that's formulated for the eye.  Having something sticky on your lids feel weird, so eye glosses like those from Jillian Dempsy, Kevyn Aucoin, or Bobbi Brown, are good choices.  Wearing an eye gloss with a tint is even sexier.

VAMP LIPS

Deep lips are not a new thing for fall.  It's how it's worn is the new thing.  Not too perfect or done, worn in a casual way.  Skip the liner and the lip brush and apply with fingers or straight from the bullet for a "I just threw this on" look.  The look is cooler when the rest of your makeup is kept to a minimum.  Some of the best deep shades include MAC Lipstick in Cyber, Nars Audacious Lipstick in Ingrid, NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania, and Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick in Blackmail.
