Nars Liquid Blushes When Powder Blushes Aren’t Enough

When Nars Cosmetics announced that they were introducing a liquid blush to their cult blush range, I didn’t hesitate to place an order.  Nars makes some of the BEST blushes in the beauty industry.  They have a great color payoff because of the high pigmentation and a range of colors and shades that can’t be rivaled.  What a lot of makeup brands lack in their blush game for women of color, Nars is always a safe bet that they will have something that works.

My all time favorites are Exhibit A, Dolce, Amour, and Taos, among many more.  With the liquid blushes, they come in four shades, Dolce (a dusty deep rose), Torrid (a succulent peach), Luster (golden apricot), and the cult classic, Orgasm (warm pink with golden shimmer).  When I placed my order, I opted for Dolce and Torrid first.

Housed in a lightly frosted short square bottle, the blushes are a little runny, so one or two drops of color are all you really need to start with.  They are moisturizing and very buildable.  It imparts a sheer coverage and gives you a very natural, cravable, “lit from within” look.

Each can be worn alone and applied with fingers or a brush and the shades mix easily, so you can customize your color.  You can also layer this under a powder blush for more staying power.  I actually used the Dolce liquid underneath the Dolce powder blush and it looked so divine!

I do plan to purchase the Orgasm and Luster shades very soon.  So if I were to make a recommendation, I would say you need to try at least one.
